“The Creativity Sourcebook: The Daily Guide to Unleashing Your Creativity”
Author: Edward Mickolus
Wandering Woods Publishers, 45 pages, $9.99 paperback
Our favorite Nocatee author, the prolific Edward Mickolus, has released a new title that should be under every want-to-be author or artist’s Christmas tree.
“The Creativity Sourcebook,” a slight volume chock-full of ideas, lists, quotes, tools, websites, techniques, and more, is intended to help them answer “that dreaded question. ‘Where Do I get My Next Idea.’”
Subtitled “The Daily Guide to Unleashing Your Creativity,” the easy-to-follow format is divided into chapters based on the days of week that are designed to get the juices flowing in the right direction.
Myth Debunker Monday: “‘Myth: That’s a stupid idea.’ Don’t edit your ideas when you’re generating them. A new, naked idea hasn’t had to mature. Give it a chance. See if you can build upon it. Don’t kill it off; instead, improve it.”
My well-thumbed copy has found a permanent home on my desk.
